How it works

Omnilux light therapy uses narrow band light emitting diodes (LED’S) to target skin cells and maximise treatment results for a wide range of dermatological conditions. It is FDA approved and clinically proven.

 

Omnilux essentially complements the body’s own natural moisture renewal process and allows the skin to plump up naturally. It is ideal for post-surgery recovery, as it has been proven to accelerate wound and scar healing.

 

There are three different light wavelengths for Omnilux light therapy (yellow, blue and red).

 

 

Omnilux Plus

Omnilux Plus™ (yellow light) has longer wavelengths than both the Omnilux Revive and the Omnilux Blue. Its main purpose is to heal the skin, making it perfect for the treatment of burns, damaged skin and new scars after cosmetic surgery procedures.

 

Omnilux Blue

Omnilux Blue™ (blue light) is designed to deliver pure blue light at a precise wavelength. The blue light is clinically proven to be effective in the treatment of acne. By stimulating anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory activity in the deeper layers of the skin, it works to stabilize sebum production and effectively treat active acne.

 

Omnilux Revive

Omnilux Revive™ (red light) acts to rejuvenate and repair damaged skin, improve uneven skin tone and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Omnilux Revive delivers a precise wavelength of visible red light that penetrates deep into the skin to stimulate fibroblast activity. This will naturally boost the production of collagen (the protein responsible for plump, healthy skin).

 

 

Treatment

The 20-minute photodynamic therapy treatment is often done in conjunction with a skin-boosting facial or peel. Your session under the light beam is warm and pleasant just like lying on the beach, but without any damaging effects. Immediately after the Omnilux light therapy treatment, your skin looks clearer, brighter and smoother.

 

After your initial consultation, a course is tailor made to your skin’s requirements. For maximum skin benefits and long-lasting results, a typical course of 6 to 9 treatments over three to six weeks is recommended.
